SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES FOR THE COMPUTER (LAN) BASED EXAMINATION SCHEDULED TO BE HELD ON 18.01.2015
Thank you very much for expressing interest in the CDFD.s Research Scholars Program . II . 2014. On the basis of information provided in your application, I am happy to inform you that you have been shortlisted to appear for the Computer (LAN) based examination, which will be held on 18.01.2015. Individual Admit Card / Hall Ticket with details of user name, password, venue of the examination and time may directly be downloaded from the individual online user account. In case of any difficulty in downloading the hall-ticket, you may mail us to academia@cdfd.org.in for arranging the hall-tickets through e-mail.
- Proof of passing the Post Graduate examination.
- Proof of clearing CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ICAR/BINC/INSPIRE NET or BINC examination conducted by the DBT with fellowship or GATE (All India Top 50 Rank of Biotechnology [BT], Life Sciences [ XL] or Chemistry [CY]) or JEST with a valid fellowship i.e., the fellowship should be valid to be activated from 01.01.2015. If the NET qualifying certificate is not available, Hall ticket should be produced. This condition is not applicable to candidates with MBBS qualifications.
- Proof of your Date of Birth and Reservation category (if applicable).
- Proof of Photo Identity (like Driving License, Voter ID Card, etc.
Admit Card / Hall Tickets will not be sent through postal mode. If the Hall Ticket is not received by 09.01.2015, you may also contact the Academics Section of the CDFD at the following Telephone numbers for providing copy of the Hall Ticket

There would be one hour test comprising of 60 questions
Important Note
It is also to inform that applicants to CDFD's JRF program who clear the LAN exam on January 18 and then get shortlisted following the interviews on January 19 will be given the opportunity to visit CDFD on January 20, 2015 to meet with CDFD faculty to familiarize themselves with the faculty.s research interests.i
Due to constraints of space and time this option can be extended only to the candidates who are shortlisted after the first interview. These candidates would be asked to stay back for the second shorter interview by the second committee. The Shortlisted candidates may contact individual faculty members via email or phone (email addresses and phone numbers are available on the CDFD website) to try and fix mutually convenient meeting times.
Contacting the faculty is purely optional. You may contact them by email or phone as well. If you are shortlisted on January 19, but are unable to stay on in Hyderabad on January 20, it will not be held against you. The purpose of these meetings is merely to give shortlisted candidates (and the faculty) an opportunity to acquaint themselves with each other
Conversely, even if you are shortlisted and choose to stay on in Hyderabad to meet faculty on January 20, the CDFD will not be obliged to select you for a JRF position. The JRF selections will be made from the shortlist, but the selection criteria will be independent of whether or not a candidate has stayed back to meet faculty.
